1. Add your business details
Your business name, address and contact print on every invoice, and most programs reject invoices without them. Add them in Business details. If you're a therapist or a school, set your provider type there too: some programs check for it.
2. Save a service and its rate
A service is what you bill for, such as "Math tutoring, 1:1, 60 min" at $65. Save it once in Business details and logging a session becomes one tap. Write the description the way you want it on the invoice: specific descriptions pass review more often than "tutoring".
3. Add your students
Add each student with their program, a parent or guardian, and the family's email if you'll send them invoices. Names, notes and emails are encrypted. Have a lot of students? Import a spreadsheet from Students.
4. Log sessions
Log as you go from Log a session on your phone, schedule a whole term on a student's page, or let calendar sync bring appointments in. Only delivered sessions can be billed.
5. Create your first invoice
On a student's page, tick the delivered sessions and create the invoice. ChoicePaid builds the right document for that program (an invoice, a receipt or a service record), checks it against the program's published rules, and makes the PDF. See Make an invoice that passes review.
Try it with a sample first
"Try a sample student" in the getting-started checklist (on Overview and Students) adds a made-up student with sessions so you can explore. Sample data never counts toward your plan, never emails anyone, and you can remove it in one click.
