Terms of Service

Last updated October 10, 2026. These terms are between you and Hokuto Labs LLC, which operates ChoicePaid.

What ChoicePaid is

ChoicePaid publishes guides, tools and a directory for education providers and families in school-choice programs. We are independent: we are not a state agency, program administrator or payment platform, and we aren't affiliated with Odyssey, ClassWallet, Step Up For Students, Student First Technologies or any state program. We never handle education funds and never take a percentage of them.

Information, not advice or a guarantee

Every rule we publish links to its official source and the date we checked it, but programs change their rules. The official program always decides eligibility, approval, invoices and payment. Our tools help you prepare documents; they don't guarantee approval or payment. Nothing on ChoicePaid is legal, tax or financial advice. Check the official source before relying on any rule.

Your account

You need a valid email to sign in. Keep access to that inbox secure, since sign-in links go there. You're responsible for what happens under your account. You can delete it anytime from your account page.

Directory listings

• Only claim a listing for a business you own or are authorized to represent. Only list programs that have actually approved you.
• What you write must be accurate and lawful, and must not include student information, discriminatory content, or claims you can't back up.
• You give us permission to display what you submit on ChoicePaid. You keep ownership of it.
• We review claims and new listings and may decline, edit for formatting, hide or remove any listing, for example if a program removes you from its list.
• A listing isn't an endorsement. Families should confirm approval and fit with the provider and the program.

Acceptable use

Don't misuse the site: no scraping that burdens it, no attempts to access other people's accounts or data, no submitting false information to programs using our tools, and no using ChoicePaid to break any law or program rule.

Paid plans

ChoicePaid's current tools are free. If we offer paid plans, their price and terms will be shown before you pay, and you'll be able to cancel anytime.

Liability

ChoicePaid is provided as is. To the fullest extent the law allows, Hokuto Labs isn't liable for indirect or consequential losses, including denied applications, rejected invoices or delayed payments, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of what you paid us in the past 12 months or $50.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms and will change the date above when we do. Continuing to use ChoicePaid after a change means you accept it. These terms are governed by the laws of Washington State. Questions? Contact us.
