What we do
Every state runs its program differently, and the rules live in handbooks, help centers and PDFs. We read them and turn them into plain guides for 21 programs, free tools for families and providers, and a directory of approved providers built from the states' own lists. For providers, we also make billing software: invoices checked against each program's rules, payment tracking and family accounts.
How we check the rules
Every rule we publish links to the program's own source and shows when we last checked it. If we can't find an official source, we don't publish the rule. We re-check those sources every day, and when one changes, a person re-reads it before we update the page. How we check program rules, and our corrections log.
How we're paid
Providers pay a flat monthly subscription for the billing workspace. Providers can also pay for a sponsored listing in the directory; it's always labeled and never changes the order of the list. We never take a percentage of education funds, and families never pay. Pricing.
What we're not
We aren't affiliated with any state program, Odyssey, ClassWallet or Step Up For Students. We don't approve providers, decide eligibility or move money. Families and providers apply and get paid through the programs themselves. Nothing here is legal or tax advice.
