Will this offering be approved?
Every Odyssey offering is reviewed on its own. Check yours against the rules Odyssey and your program publish (categories, titles, descriptions, tutor credentials, price caps and CSV format) before you submit.

What the checker tests
- Don't change or delete the column headers in the Products template; altering them causes upload errors. The template has 16 standard columns. Source
- Headers must match Odyssey's template exactly, marketplace_type must be exactly Product or Service, and SKUs must be 100 characters or fewer. Source
- Use a unique SKU (letters and numbers only) for every product and variant. Reusing a SKU can overwrite an existing offering. Source
- Each title must clearly describe what families are buying; avoid single-word or vague titles. Include identifiers like grade level, subject or duration. Source
- Descriptions must include the number of sessions, frequency and duration (services), the delivery method, materials provided, the condition of physical items, and provider credentials where required. Source
- Georgia tutors must include the tutor's name and certification in the offering description, and may only tutor the subjects and grades their certification covers. Source
- Louisiana tutors don't need a teaching certificate, but the offering must clearly state whether the tutor is certified. Source
- Iowa tutors may hold a teaching certificate from any U.S. state; the description must include the tutor's name and state of certification. Source
- Every listing needs at least one valid image. Use direct, publicly hosted image URLs, and separate several with a semicolon. Don't use images showing student faces or copyrighted material. Source
- Prices must reflect fair market value and include any shipping or materials costs, which can't be added later. Source
- Don't include or charge sales tax: Odyssey is the marketplace facilitator and calculates it at checkout. Source
- For services, set a high quantity (for example 999) to keep the offering visible in the Marketplace. Source
- Enter 1 in is_variable if the product has variants, 0 if not. Upload the parent product first, then the variants file. Source
- Education level, age and grade are optional, but they must match the description (a high school class shouldn't be marked Elementary). Source
- Schools can list items like curriculum, tutoring or single courses, but any offering that is or resembles tuition is denied. Source
- Not eligible as MOScholars offerings: consumable supplies (paper, pens, pencils, markers), tuition at private schools outside Missouri, and payments to a student's relatives. Source
Questions
Why do Odyssey offerings get rejected?
The most common published reasons are vague titles, descriptions missing sessions, delivery method or credentials, a category that doesn't exactly match the program's list, prices above a program's cap or shipping added on top, and CSV formatting errors such as changed headers or a marketplace_type other than Product or Service.
Does passing the checker mean my offering will be approved?
No. Approval is Odyssey's and the program's decision, and reviewers also judge fair market value and whether the item is eligible. The checker tests every rule Odyssey and the program publish, so you fix the avoidable problems before review.
Which programs does it check?
The seven programs that run on the Odyssey Marketplace: Texas TEFA, Utah Fits All, Georgia Promise, Louisiana GATOR, Wyoming ESA, Missouri MOScholars and Iowa Students First. Each program has its own category list and price caps.
Is my CSV uploaded?
No. The file is read by your browser on your device and never sent anywhere. A draft of a single offering is saved only in this browser so you don't lose it.
